Enrichment is offered through both after school sessions as well as our Heyford Park Free School Learning Journey.
Enrichment offers students a chance to try new things, take part in activities they love and take a risk doing something different in a safe way. AT HPFS we want our students to have a “can do” attitude. Enrichment activities enable students to develop the skills needed to achieve this.
We offer a programme of extra curricular activities that are for fixed time periods on a rolling programme. This programme is led on voluntarily by our staff and student ambassadors. This is published to our students termly through their tutors, subject teachers and houses.
We also are launching into secondary our enrichment provision that allows parents to buy into activities.
We have a number of external providers offering different after-school clubs. These currently include badminton, football, dance and Tai-Kwon-Do. Parents book through Steph Woodman, who co-ordinates our Wraparound services as well as out enrichment clubs. Letters come out centrally towards the end of each half term, in readiness for the next half term’s clubs.
