Our Heyford sixth form students are expected to act as role models for those in our nursery, primary and secondary classes in our all-through school. At Heyford Park Sixth Form, we aim to balance the fun with the hard work and approach learning and life with curiosity, resourcefulness and tenacity.
We offer our students opportunities to travel abroad, including to Berlin in Germany, Ypres in Belgium and to Auschwitz –Birkenhau in Poland in year 12, to learn about different cultures and world events that have shaped us.
We also offer a community challenge in year 13 – this is the opportunity to travel further afield and contribute to the building of a community in a developing culture.
Enrichment opportunities within school include:
Free membership of Heyford Park Gym (student ID required to use out of school hours).
Leadership responsibilities within the nursery, primary and secondary school, including becoming reader leaders, maths mentors, science technicians, sports leaders & referees, friendly faces buddy.
Sixth Form students are offered an opportunity to complete the Duke of Edinburgh award at either Bronze or Silver level.
Opportunity to complete Internships and work experience placements at our partners, including G force logistics, Roborace, Viridor (Ardley ERF) and Dorchester Living.
