At Heyford Park Free School, we have agreed to provide a service as from Monday for essential key workers and those identified as vulnerable, where parents cannot support their children at home. This will be a minimal service and will not be the same as a normal school day. The school will have to follow the Government guidelines as to who would be allowed to access this service.
At this moment in time we are all facing difficulties and ask all parents and carers not to try and circumvent the systems and processes in place. If you are in doubt as to whether you can access the service that we will be providing please do not hesitate in contacting us on firstname.lastname@example.org
Many of our parents are key workers and eligible to use our provision. Whether you are a key worker or not, we will not abandon any of our families, and will keep in touch regularly, checking your welfare and your children’s education by phone and by email.
Some key workers have made arrangements to share childcare, work shifts, find a friend to help: thank you. For those now trying to work out whether to send their child to school next week, I urge you to keep your children at home if at all possible, even if it’s difficult or inconvenient.
The more children we have in school, the more likely it is that we will contract Covid 19 and the more quickly it will spread in our community. This will affect children in the provision, all those families using the provision who are front line workers, and our dedicated staff, who are also putting themselves on the front line at this time of national emergency.
We will be here from Monday to serve our community. Please help us to support those who truly need this provision by keeping your children at home whenever possible, keeping your children, other children, all our families and our staff safer.
