  • Heyford Park Free School is a two-form entry school for both primary and secondary students. Opening in September 2013, it draws students from Upper Heyford, local villages and from Bicester. There are a lot of new houses being built locally and our numbers will grow with the new development: from September, we anticipate having around 230 primary children and 300 secondary students.

  • Role: Invigilator 

    Heyford Park Free School is looking for a new team of invigilators to assist with internal mock exams and the GCSE summer examination period.  This is a vital role for maintaining smooth and efficient running of examinations which enable our students to perform at their best.

    The successful candidates will need to be flexible, well organised, reliable and punctual.  You will be able to relate to invigilators, staff members and students in a calm manner. Having an observant eye and attention to detail are essential as well as being confident addressing large groups of pupils.

    Good spoken and written English would be desirable as you might not only be supervising students but may be asked on occasions to act as readers or scribes if needed. Please consider this role can be physically demanding since often you will be spending long periods standing.

    Duties will include: Assisting with the preparation of examination venues, advising and assisting candidates prior to the start of exams, checking candidate attendance during examinations, distribution and collection of exam papers, assisting students with additional needs, ensuring Examination Board Regulations are adhered to at all times.

    The position would be ideally suited to responsible and committed individuals who are available between the hours of 7:30am – 4:40pm as and when needed throughout the school year.  Examination schedules will be provided in advance of the exam period.
    No previous experience required, training will be provided for both new and experienced invigilators.  

  • Salary:
    • Part time – Term Time Only 7.30am to 4.40pm
    • Casual depending on Examination requirements (approximately 10 weeks during the academic year)
    • Hourly Salary (incl.Holiday Pay):Grade 2 (8.78 – 8.86)
    • Work will be throughout the year during internal & external examination periods.
    • Interviews are held termly
