Dear Parents/Guardians,

I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to the Sixth Form Open Evening at Heyford Park Free School. This will be taking place in the Ballroom on Thursday 12th October, between 5.00pm and 7.00pm. This is a very exciting time for our brand new Sixth Form, and we are looking forward to meeting with our prospective students and parents of our first ever Sixth Form cohort.
As a small, dynamic and intimate Sixth Form, we feel that we are unparalleled in terms of contact time and student support that we able to offer. We have a broad range of advanced courses, extremely small class sizes, individual mentoring and private study support in place. We have invested significantly in developing the Sixth Form, demonstrating that we value the role and impact that our new sixth formers will have on the whole school and the local community.
We are committed to enabling our HPFS sixth formers to thrive academically and personally. Our Sixth Form aims to provide a structured and supportive environment where students flourish and develop the skills needed to go on to be successful in their chosen careers, training or Higher Education. We place great emphasis on academic achievement. We offer a full range of qualifications including A Levels, as well as vocational BTEC courses, and a three-year Foundation course. A full list of courses is published in our Prospectus, which you will receive on arrival, and can be found on our school website.
Furthermore, we will be encouraging students to broaden their experiences, to involve themselves in the community, and to enjoy learning in its broadest context. The Open Evening will provide an opportunity for both students and parents to speak to staff about the courses on offer, and to gain an insight into the ethos at Heyford Park Sixth Form.
Refreshments will be provided, and the team at HPFS are looking forward to meeting with you to answer any of your questions regarding post-sixteen education, and the virtues of our exciting new Sixth Form.
